WeWork needed a centralized system to manage location data for it’s portfolio, including franchise and marketplace partnerships. This feature aimed to increase speed to market for WeWork locations and beyond. I was the lead designer and worked with a mid-level product designer to create the feature of creating and managing location data.

Process
I worked closely with product management to define the problem, uncover user requirements, create the designs and execute the project. I managed one mid-level designer who was responsible for phase 2 design and encouraged her to take the lead on research and concept creation. Throughout the process, I was actively involved with engineering and data to make implementation as smooth as possible.

Self-serve creation workflow to create new locations for WeWork and affiliates
Accessible and comprehensive location data for all of WeWork’s portfolio
Self-serve editing of 5k global locations
Outcomes
Phase 1 of the project was launched end of Q3 in 2022 and Phase 2 was planned to launch in Q1 2023. Key metrics to measure included reduction of time spent to add and edit locations, reduction in the number of people (jira tickets and emails) required to complete tasks, and increase in eNPS.
